"Pinellia in the Pines" Golf Vacation Home gets a makeover!

Pinellia is a genus of flowering plants from the orchid family, Orchidaceae

About Us...

Bill, Kris and family embark on a golf vacation condo makeover within the lovely Pine Valley area in the Village of Pinehurst, NC, home of Pinehurst Resort and Country Club and Donald Ross's "crown jewell" #2 golf course, site of the 2014 back to back Men's and Women's US Open.

After several memorable vacations in Pinehurst staying and playing the Pinehurst Resort golf courses and experiencing the fine southern hospitality at The Carolina Hotel with it's bountiful breakfast buffet, we decided to purchase a condo located 400 yards from the clubhouse. We can now enjoy more of Pinehurst Resort and play the local 6 Pinehurst courses and more than 30 other courses in the surrounding area.

Our condo is appropriately named for the many flowering plants found in and around the Village of Pinehurst. Pinellia was temporarily used as the town's name by the workers and shippers hired by James Walker Tufts during 1895 - 1897 construction and development of what is now the Village of Pinehurst.  Make a visit to the "Sandhills of NC" and the Village of Pinehurst during the spring and you will fully appreciate the beautiful results of this great landscaping achievement of these flowering plantings and colors that grace this wonderful area, not to mentiona the great golf!
