The plumber completed the rough in for the kitchen and guest bath and replaced all the 40 year old copper piping with PEX tubing this past week.  The drywall will begin today so I took the opportunity this past Saturday and Sunday am to replace the old insulation in the kitchen and bath before it was closed up with drywall.  I was going to keep the original insualtion but it was old, rotting and not that efficient so for a little more labor and cost I installed 4 rolls of kraft faced insulation.  I was also able to use the excess strips of batting for the ceilings to use in the bath ceilings.

A little nicer?  But who will see this once the drywall is up?  I'll know it and it will be much safer from mold and mildew!
